		<description>This is where Darwin&#039;s ideas about evolution began - with remarkable people of remarkable tribes now extinct.  Although they seemed primitive then, it is clear that that should be rethought now.  They were well adapted, clever in many ways, and responding to changing circumstance (especially the advent of horse-riding, just to the north of their area!); we as humans are less for what we failed to retain of their linguistic capacity, surely extremely different from all (or almost all) of what is used today.</description>
